Can you believe it? Yet another month in the life of the KawaiiPunk Blog has come to an end! But that doesn’t mean we have to forget it! Remember how we saw a kawaiified spring, the Sleepy Mascot being congratulated, and the Frost Mascot getting even cooler? And what about the designers and crafters we met? Heavyhand, Sleepy Robot 13, and Lucia Salemi to name a few! And what about our monthly puzzle? Did you work which paint set the Cubist Mascot should pick?
Amazing! It was set number 3 - the garishly bright green and pink set! Well, he was painting the Eighties Mascot after all! And you can’t really expect anything sensible to have emerged from the 1980s, can you? I mean, just look at some of the hairstyles that were knocking around! Anyway folks, that’s all for this month, but be sure to come back next month when we’ll have plenty more kawaii goodies for all of you to enjoy!
See you all in May.
Your host with the most,
Ed Mascot :)

When I first joined the KawaiiPunk mascots I did wonder how much I would be able to contribute to this blog. After all, being a fearsome wrestler hardly lends itself to the world of kawaii! But, luckily for you, I’m never one to shy away from a challenge. And so, for my first ever post I decided to find a shop that sold top notch kawaii goodies, and had a sweet slice of wrestling prowess thrown into the mix. An impossible task, you think? Then think again…
What you are looking at are just some of the cunningly crafty creations from Feltmates at Etsy. Feltmates is a shop that makes fantastically fun character creations from felt. And many of them have ingeniously inventive practical uses too - including some of the cutest tape measures you’re ever likely to see! And, I’m more than happy to report, among all the gorgeous goodies you’ll even find a couple of masked wrestling characters too! Woohoo!
Your wrestling kawaii fan,
Wrestler Mascot :)

Dear Frost Mascot,
Now that summer is well and truly on its way I thought I’d send you a little something to keep your spirits up over the sunny months ahead. Just like I did last year! (Re. Chilling Out for Summer!) And this time, even if I do say so myself, I think I’ve come up with a real winner! It’s an idea that fully encompasses the spirit of all things cool. So get ready, because here comes the all new, never before seen, utterly fantastic Frosty Pops…
Amazing, aren’t they? I mean, OK, they aren’t actually functioning ice lollies, but I think you get the idea! And I’m sure they’ll raise a smile with you and your fellow fans of the freeze. Anyway, I’ve got to go now and stock up on super strength sunscreen to get me through the uncomfortably warm unpleasantness that’s headed our way! Roll on winter!
Ginger “Freckles” McRedhead. Aged 34.
Thanks Ginger! It’s really nice to hear from you again! And I absolutely love the idea of Frosty Pops! Although I do think the Snowman Mascot might be feeling a bit left out from all this frosty fun! Perhaps you should make some Snow Slushies too! Ha ha!
Frost Mascot :)

As regular readers will know, we mascots are all big fans of Zazzle. And, I’m happy to report, I myself am no exception to this rule. In fact, it never ceases to amaze me just how creative and talented Zazzlers can be. And, luckily for all you wonderful readers, today I’m going to tell you about one such creative and talented Zazzler. Her name is Lucia Salemi, and her amazingly cute work looks a little something like this…
Sweet, isn’t it? Lucia Salemi is an artist who creates beautifully colourful and whimsical works that drip with pleasure and joy. And at her Zazzle shop you can pick up these beautiful works on posters, cards, buttons, stickers, t-shirts, hats, and much, much more besides. So now, if you’re ever looking for a joy filled gift to brighten up someone’s day, you’ll know where to go, wont you? Enjoy yourselves!

Woohoo! It’s time for another puzzle! And this month I’ve got a real treat for you. It’s a puzzle with drama! It’s a puzzle with conflict! It’s a puzzle with… the Cubist Mascot trying to choose the right paints! Yep, you’ve guessed it, it’s a puzzle about art! You see, it seems our old friend the Cubist Mascot has decided to put his artistic knowledge to use for once, and has done so by drawing one of his colleagues. Here, have a look…
Amazing! As you can see the Cubist Mascot has decided to draw a picture of the Eighties Mascot. And, if you ask me, I reckon he’s done a pretty good job! But wait, it looks like the Cubist Mascot is having a bit of a problem choosing the right set of paints to colour in his drawing! Disaster! But wait again, maybe you can help! Can you work out which paint set the Cubist Mascot should choose to colour in his picture of the Eighties Mascot? The answer, as ever, will be revealed in this month’s monthly round-up!

Dear Sleepy Mascot,
I’m a keen card maker who is always on the lookout for fresh ideas. In the past I have been inspired to create cards marking many an occasion, including… “Congratulations on your new toaster!”, “Commiserations on your recent purchase of an ill fitting hat!” and “Sorry about the smell!” All great ideas, as I’m sure you’ll agree! Anyway, last month I noticed you contributed your first post to this blog (Re. Shirking Sports!) which got me thinking once again. And the result…
Yip, you’ve guessed it, it’s a “Congratulations on your first post!” card! I reckon it could be the next big thing in card making, as blogging is incredibly popular and goes on all the year round. I also think this new card has a great growth potential too! After all, if congratulating people on their first posts takes off… why not congratulate people on their second, third, fourth, etc. Pretty neat idea, isn’t it?
With kind congratulations,
Wow! I knew breaking the habit of a lifetime by getting out of bed and actually writing something for this blog would have repercussions, but I definitely didn’t see this one coming! Jemima, you have left me speechless!
Yours hurriedly returning to bed,
Sleepy Mascot :)

Hello readers, it’s me - the Mischief Mascot! I bet you’ve all been wondering where I’ve been. Well wonder no more, for her I am! Tee hee! And, as usual, I’m about to make your day a whole lot brighter! With a little help from a very talented designer I recently found at RedBubble that is! So, are you all ready? Great, then let’s get started! Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, it gives me great pleasure to introduce to you the fun filled world of Damien Mason…
Pretty cool, isn’t it? Damien Mason is a web designer and illustrator from Australia with a fondness for bright and stylish vector art. And with subjects including robots, monsters, and monkeys, you can be sure his designs are going to raise a few smiles along the way! And if you were to buy one of his t-shirts you could help spread those smiles even further! Which can only beg one question… what on earth are you waiting for?
Always keeping things fun,
Mischief Mascot :)

Woohoo! Yipee! Yeah! Great news folks! I’ve just found another super cool thing to spend my pocket money on! It’s Moshi Monsters Mash Up trading cards! Hurrah! Huh? What’s that? You don’t know what I’m talking about! Where have you lot been? Don’t you remember the last time I told you about Moshi Monsters? (Re. Marvellous Moshi Monsters!) Oh well, I guess I better let you know what I’m talking about! Here, have a look at this…
Hip hip hooray! How cool are they? Wow! I just made a rhyme! You see, it seems the good folks at the incredibly cute Moshi Monsters site have decided to create a series of trading cards featuring their very own super cute characters! And I for one am so excited about it I can hardly type straight! And, if you lot know what’s good for you, you should be pretty excited too! Well? What are you waiting for? Happy collecting, folks!
Your trading card connoisseur,
Junior Mascot :)

People have many aspirations. Some want fast cars. Some want big houses. And some want… some other third option that I can’t quite think of at the moment. But for most people there has only ever been one aspiration… to own a robot! Granted, I haven’t actually done any research to back up this claim but, for the purpose of this introduction, let’s assume it’s true. And with that in mind, I’d like to introduce you all to Sleepy Robot 13…
Pretty cool, isn’t it? Sleepy Robot 13 is an Etsy shop that sells robots. Yip, you heard me, robots! And not just any old robots, but super cute polymer clay robots for kawaii fans everywhere! And it’s even got some stickers and buttons too! So stop aspiring and start living the robot owning dream right now. Because, believe me, life’s always a lot more fun with a robot around!
Your mechanical maestro,
Robot Mascot :)

Dear Outlaw Mascot,
I noticed at the end of last month that one of your readers (the somewhat absurdly named Big John Jones “The Sheriff” Jacobson) sent in a wanted poster to welcome you to the KawaiiPunk fold. (Re. Kawaii’s Most Wanted!) I also couldn’t help but notice that this so called “welcome” did not feature you in any way, shape, or form whatsoever! And even if it had, why on earth would you (being an outlaw and all) want to see your face on a wanted poster, let alone consider it “welcoming”! If you ask me, the whole thing was just plain stupid! And so I created this…
As you can see it’s a picture of yourself wearing an extremely cunning and effective disguise - a much more suitable and welcoming gesture for an outlaw than a wanted poster! After all, as an outlaw, surely the last thing you’d would want to see is your face plastered all over the web! Am I right? Of course I am! And the best part is… you can actually achieve this adorably anonymous look by simply paying a visit to your local joke shop!
Wishing you a proper welcome,
Tiny Timothy Tinker “The Slinker” Tomlinson. Aged 19.
Thanks Tiny. It’s always nice to feel welcome! Although to be honest, I very much doubt I’ll be adopting that look any time soon! What? Even outlaws like myself have to draw the line somewhere you know :)

Hey readers, would you like to hear about a really cute shop? What’s that? You would! Well today must be your lucky day! Because today I’m going to tell you about a shop that’s got more cute than a 24 volume encyclopaedia of kittens! And believe me, that’s a lot of cute! So sit back, make yourselves comfortable, and get ready to meet the adorably sweet BlackUnicorn…
Ta da! BlackUnicorn is a Zazzle shop that features the amazing work of Veronica Guzzardi. And what incredibly cute work it is! With everything from cupcakes and lollies to rainbows and owls this shop really does have something for cute fans everywhere. So whether you’re looking for a t-shirt, a card, an iPhone case, a bag, an apron, a mug, a pendant, a mousepad, a keyring, a button, a magnet, a sticker, or even a tie this shop has something for you. And that’s just the beginning! Enjoy!
Keeping it cute,
Sweet Mascot :)

With the winter months finally behind us and the first tentative hints of spring appearing on the horizon, I though now would be a good time to present you and your readers with my latest work of kawaiification. At first I thought about using a flower as a subject for the work, as it did seem a somewhat fitting tribute to the season of spring. But it also seemed a bit predictable. So instead, I went for this…
Yes, that’s right, it’s an actual spring! I know, I know, it is a work of genius! Anyway, I hope you, your colleagues, and your readers all enjoy this latest work, and I also hope you have joy filled spring! Not to mention a sun filled summer too! Will hopefully be in touch in the not too distant future with more kawaiified goodies for you all to enjoy. Well, now that spring has arrived, I really don’t have any excuses not too!
Mr. Justice Smithering Smythe (retired)
Absolutely astounding! Just when I think I’ve seen everything kawaiification can offer, you come up with another work of sheer delight. Can’t wait to see what you come up with next your honour!
Eagerly awaiting your next creation,
Ed Mascot :)

As the coolest member of the KawaiiPunk mascots I like to think I know a thing or two about looking good. Not that I’m boasting or anything - them’s just the facts :) But, unfortunately, not everyone is as lucky as I am when it comes to looking cool. So today I’m going to introduce you all to a designer who has taken looking cool to a whole new level. And here he is…
What you are looking at above are just some of the incredible designs from the amazingly talented illustrator that goes by the name of Heavyhand. And at the Heavyhand RedBubble store you can pick up these designs on t-shirts, jerseys, kids clothes, and more. So now there’s absolutely no excuse for never looking cool again. No need to thank me :)
Always looking good,
Demon Mascot :)
