Well readers, so ends our first month as citizens of the blogosphere, and what a month it’s been. We’ve been introduced to the fabulous work of Psygon, Asking for Trouble and Bubble Doll. We’ve done our bit to help out with the MP’s expenses scandal, and we’ve had some truly exquisite readers’ art. We also got to see a photograph of a ghost! Great Stuff!
Can’t wait to see you all again next month for more top blogging action.
Your host with the most,
Ed Mascot :)

Can you imagine what a world without doodles would be like? Schoolkids would have to actually listen to all those boring stories about Romans. Grown ups would have to fake interest for hours on end when “that friend” phoned. And office meetings would turn in to out and out yawn-a-thons! Frightening, isn’t it? Thankfully we don’t live in that world, which brings me to this…
The Anime Panda Doodles Journal at CafePress is for many the ultimate celebration of doodling, not to mention a bona fide kawaii masterpiece. Adorned with pandas, rainbows, clouds and hearts this slice of colourful cuteness has got to be one of the coolest journals ever. And the best part… it’s absolutely perfect for doodling in :) Why not head on over and take a look for yourselves?
See you all again soon, and keep on doodling,
Junior Mascot :)

Hey everyone, great news! Monsieur Le Bun and my good friends at Super Cute Kawaii asked me to be a guest picker on their kawaiitastic blog! It was so cool, not to mention a great opportunity for me to showcase my trademark professionalism and kawaii knowledge! Here, check me out…
How cool am I? OK, I may have messed up a little bit at the beginning, and I’ll grant you that Mischief, Stereo, Lovestruck, Demon, and Sweet played a minor part in the picking department, but still... not too shabby, huh? And they said I’d never be a blogger!
Keeping the dream alive,
Ed Mascot :)

I’m the sort of man that likes to take life seriously, very seriously. I’ve got a moustache and everything! Anyway, while on a recent day trip to the beautiful Scottish town of Callander I happened upon an absolutely stunning example of public seating. Naturally, as anyone would do when confronted with such a glorious sight, I took out my camera and preserved the idyllic scene by taking a photograph. Well, you can imagine my surprise when I got home, uploaded the photo, and found the Ghost Mascot lurking around in the background!
Very amusing you may think. Well let me tell you, I think otherwise! I find it distinctly and utterly unamusing! In fact, I send you this photograph with a complete and absolute absence of any “kawaii” joy. As far as I’m concerned this reckless buffoon of mascot has ruined a perfectly good picture of a bench! As a result I have decided to boycott KawaiiPunk from this point forward, and would strongly urge anyone who’s had a similar experience to do the same!
Mr. Arthur P Henshaw. (No smiley face!)
Hurrah! Our first email! You know, hearing from our fans is what inspires us all at KawaiiPunk. It makes us feel like one big happy family. Thanks Arthur.
Keep those emails coming,
Ed Mascot :)

Well readers, it’s happened again! I’m in love – in love with an adorably cute shop! We met online over at RedBubble and I just knew, from the moment I first saw those beautiful kokeshi doll designs, that this was the one for me! The shop’s called Bubble Doll and it has some of the cutest and coolest designs you’re ever likely to see. Here, have a look…
Georgeous, aren't they! The cuteness of the characters alone is enough to get any kawaii shoppers’ heart racing! Combine this with the fact that Bubble Doll sells cards and prints, as well as t-shirts, and you know you’ve found a keeper! Simply irresistible! In fact, I’m going to head over there again, right now! I suggest you do the same.
Hope you all fall in love with Bubble Doll’s shop too!
Hugs and kisses,
Lovestruck Mascot :)

Dear Money Mascot,
As an M.P. I rarely ask people for their opinions, and listen to them even less! Lately however I’ve found them impossible to ignore, which brings me to my problem. I used to have this really sweet deal goin’ on where I’d buy whatever I liked and the taxpayer would pick up the tab – it was rockin’! Dog food, moat repairs, hotel bills, everything! Talk about easy street! Anyway, now some hack’s gone and published all this in his rag and “the man” reckons I’m gonna have to pay it all back! I was hoping you could give me some money saving tips ‘cause, believe me, things aint lookin’ good!
Richard Winterbottom M.P.
Northbrough, South East.
Wow! Sounds like you’re really up the proverbial creek buddy, and deservedly so, if you don’t mind me saying! That said, you’ve definitely come to the right place for practical money saving tips. Here’s my top 5:
1. Start hopping! Hopping makes pairs of shoes last twice as long, and is also a great way to get in shape!
2. Making a cup of tea and a meal? Why not kill two birds with one stone and stick your potatoes in the kettle. Saves money and energy! It also gives your tea that delicious potato-ey flavour. Yum!
3. Stop shaving! The money saved on razors alone, not to mention shaving cream and after shave, will be astronomical! And everyone loves a beard!
4. Don’t bother buying those flashy belts and shoelaces that celebs are always banging on about. Walk to the beat of your own drum by using a piece of old rope and two bits of string! Stylish!
5. Bags for life can also be used as cushions for life. Simply fill them with old rags, when you’re not using them for shopping, and watch the money roll in as you never have to buy a cushion again! You can pick up bags/cushions for life at the KawaiiPunk CafePress Shop. Look…
Hope these tips help you out Richard, and remember kids – ripping off the taxpayer to tune of tens of thousands of pounds isn’t cool! Probably shouldn’t stick potatoes in your kettle either, now that I think about it!
See you all again soon.
Your friendly financial advisor,
Money Mascot :)

Hello readers, Mischief here. Hurrah, my first post! Just wanted to let you all know that top illustrator, and friend of KawaiiPunk, Marceline Smith has recently opened a new shop at Zazzle. It’s called Asking For Trouble and, believe me, it’s got more tasty kawaii treats than a sweet shop run by a rainbow…
Packed with cute culinary characters like Cakeify the happy cupcake, Jammie Dodger and Bread Slice, this store is guaranteed to satisfy your hunger for kawaii! Tees, stickers, shoes, mugs and more can all be found at Asking For Trouble, which really does have something for everyone, even babies! It’s a veritable one stop shop for all things cute!
Oh, I almost forgot, Marceline is also a contributor at the fantastic Super Cute Kawaii! blog - a cracking cornucopia of cool crafty cuteness! Easier written than said!
Hope you all enjoy the shop, and the blog!
Keep it cute,
Mischief Mascot :)

Dear Ed Mascot,
As a proud mother of three little darlings I'm always on the look out for fun activities to keep my trio of tiny treasures busy and happy. It's not always easy but when I found this blog and your request for readers' art I thought all my birthdays had come at once. I quickly looked out some paper, called in the kids, and got to work. It was fantastic! I only wish you could have been there to see their proud little faces as they watched mummy snatch up their crayons and knock out this masterpiece…
It's a picture of Fierce being all angry and stuff, and saying "Grrrrr! I hate this blog." I know, it's cool, isn't it? It took me ages!
Keep up the good work,
Janet Jenkins. Aged 39.
Thanks Janet. It's nice to know that our work here at KawaiiPunk is appreciated, although I can't help wishing the sentiment was a bit more positive!
Keep those artworks coming,
Ed Mascot :)

When it comes to fashion, style and all round cuteness there's only one mascot you readers can truly rely on. That's me, in case you haven't guessed! Sure, Punk's got attitude, Demon's got cool and Ed's got… glasses, but when it comes to spotting true kawaii talent any mascot worth his or her salt knows that I'm the one calling the shots.
On that note, and to prove my point, I'd like to introduce you all to the kawaiitastic world of Psygon. Whether it's cute kittens, huggable monkeys or adorable zebras this designer has a shirt for you. But don't just take my word for it, even though I'm always right, take a look at this…
With so many cute tees in one place it's difficult to choose which one to buy first, although the adorable Cloud Kittens has to be a definite favourite. They're just so cute! Oh, I almost forgot, Psygon also sells cards! Just perfect if you're thinking of buying someone a super cute tee with clouds and kittens on it as a gift! What? I'm not dropping hints, I'm just saying…
Anyway, be sure to check out Psygon's shop, and be sure to check out my posts if you want to find more of the best kawaii fashions.
See you all soon,
Sweet Mascot :)
Hi everyone! I'd just like to take a second to welcome you all to the KawaiiPunk Blog, launched May 15th 2009 – that's today! Unless you're reading this in the future, in which case it isn't! Anyway, my name's Ed and I'm the mascot in charge of this blog. It's my job to ensure that the high kawaii standards expected by our readers are maintained at all times. Granted, I've never actually ran a blog before and have no experience of quality control, but how hard can it be, right? After all, it's just writing and stuff. And, it's not like I'm here by myself. Check out this lot…
These are just some of my fellow KawaiiPunk Mascots and together we will bring you the best kawaii shops, clothes, stationery and goodies that the world has to offer, and you can help too! At KawaiiPunk we want our readers to get involved – comments, suggestions, submissions, questions and artwork are all welcome, so don't be shy about getting in touch.
Hope you all enjoy the blog, and remember to come back,
Ed Mascot :)
P.S. If you want to find out more about the KawaiiPunk Mascots then head over to kawaiipunk.com. It's got free wallpapers and everything!
P.P.S. Oh yeah, the guy behind the scenes at KawaiiPunk is called Michael. He's a graphic designer or something…
